Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Chertsey Primary School P&C are a dedicated group of parents, teachers and interested citizens that work to provide financial and organisational support to the school. They volunteer their time to raise money for various projects and resources, support staff and each other, to help provide the best possible school experience for our children.

The Chertsey Primary School P&C Executive Committee is:

President - Donna Henry

Vice Preseident - Gail Santi

Secretary - Nada Potter

Treasurer - Malcolm Cliftlands

Join our P&C

Joining the P&C is a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board! We welcome all parents, carers, families and members of the Springfield community.

P&C membership costs $1 per year. You don't have to attend monthly meetings. If you join, you will receive updates about what is happening at the school.

P&C meetings

Chertsey Primary School P&C Association meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month during school terms, at 6.30pm.

Meetings are held in the school library.

Tjudibaring Local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG)

The AECG is a community based voluntary organisation that has been operating from a grass roots level since the late 1970’s and is the peak advisory group for Aboriginal education in N.S.W. The AECG caters for pre-school through to tertiary education.

Chertsey Primary School staff are represented  at Tjudibaring Local AECG, our primary consultative group for Aboriginal cultural advice and guidance. Aboriginal parents/carers and family members are encouraged to join the AECG for an opportunity for you to voice your concerns, hear about opportunities for Aboriginal students and families and meet other members of the local Aboriginal community.
