CHOOSH provides care for primary school children between the ages of 5 and 12 (Kindergarten to Year 6). The service is usually utilised by parents who are working, studying or looking for work or who just need a break from the demands of parenting.
What schools do we cater for?
Most of our children attend Woodport Primary School or Chertsey Primary School but all children are welcome from any of the local schools in the area. Currently we are providing care for children who attend:

You can talk to our staff about options for your child travelling to and from the centre.

Extra Activities – After School
Active After-school Communties Program (AASC)
We are proud to participate in the Active After-school Communities (AASC) Program with assistance from the Australian Sports Commission to promote healthy living in children. We have named it 3P which stands for ‘Participates, Plays Fair and Personal Best'. It is held on 2 or 3 afternoons a week and we encourage all children to get involved for one hour.
Homework Help
WOOSH Care has a Homework Help session which is supervised by a teacher from Woodport Public School. It is held for one hour once a week, and is available to all children who attend WOOSH Care. There is a cost of $3.00 per attendance.
9+ Club
To join the 9+ Club children must be 9 years of age or older. This Club was designed especially for the older children who might get bored in after school services. The aim of the 9+ Club is to increase the interest, responsibility and independence of older kids, whilst helping them to develop skills such as leadership, initiative, decision making, planning and accomplishing long-term projects. Some of the additional activities that 9+ Club children may take part in are excursions and fundraising.
